A posse of quilters enjoyed a wonderful retreat at Bathurst last weekend. The weather was clear and cool, the venue excellent, food delicious, and the tutor marvellous. What more could one ask for? From the time of our arrival there was an atmosphere of fun and anticipation.....what had Margaret dreamed for us to do? After our pub meal on Friday night we settled into our crispy sheets at Citigate and following a brisk walk on the Mt Panorama circuit arrived at Algona. What a treat, the views over the vines and to the mountains beyond create an atmosphere of tranquility.

My name is Bernadette Ramsey, I live in Sydney, Australia, and have been quilting since the late 1980's. Quilts in the Vines is my brainchild.
I love to quilt in beautiful locations and be inspired by great tutors. I enjoy myself much more if I have a good night's sleep in lovely accommodation.
Good food and great company just serve to enhance the experience.
How thrilled I am to have Margaret as our first tutor, and there are plans for other events which include machine piecing and quilting.

Quilts in the Vines understands that your surroundings affect the way you feel; consequently we have searched to find the perfect venue, with adequate light and space for sewing and designing. The vineyard views will inspire you while you work with your tutor to learn new skills. We have kept class numbers low so you have plenty of one-on-one time with your tutor.
